Native to California and Oregon.  Spring flowering perennial.  Great hummingbird plant.  Good placed among larger shrubs like Ceanothus Concha. 

Will flower longer if moisture present.  Common in Sierra foothills.  Sticky leaves.

 

Very adaptable, easy to grow.

 

Drought tolerant

 

Avoid summer irrigation after established.

 

Needs good drainage.
