Salvia clevelandii Alpine

Alpine Cleveland Sage

More information

Family: Lamiaceae

Type: Shrub, 3'h x 5'w

Flowers: Spring into Summer

Flower Color: Blue, Purple

Likes: Full Sun

Selection of Salvia clevelandii.  Appears to be more drought tolerant.  Lots of flowers.  Does well from cooler North facing slopes to hotter South facing slopes.  As with other Salvias very arromatic - especially after a rain.

Colorful as part of a drought tolerant landscaping. Color from spring well into summer.  May need fall/winter pruning to maintain shape.

Great plant for hedges and mid-level screens.

Can take summer irrigation but best to avoid.

Needs good drainage.
