Likes: Part Shade to Full Sun

Widely distributed throughout the  US.  White flowers on feathery leaved stalks.  Flowers in spring and with moisture. Very frost resistant.  Will spread and reseed.

Drought tolerant.  Can use summer irrigation and be incorporated into non-native gardens.

A selection of Achillea millefolium.  Similar but with red flowers. Spreading.   Blooms early summer into Fall.  Nice compliment.  Good with common Yarrow and adds color. Will reseed and probably hybridize with Common Yarrow.

Perennial Yarrow hybrid of native and non-native Yarrow.  Bright yellow flowers with lighter silver green foliage.  Behavior similar to Achillea millefolium including use as a pollinator.  Very nice color addition to the Yarrow assortment.

A favorite. Smaller plant with very interesting flowers on stalks.  Plant single or in groups.  

Somewhat drought tolerant.   Sprinkle irrigate only. Summer water every few weeks during the first year to establish. 

Baileya Multiradiata  Common Name: Desert Marigold

Likes: Full Sun

Short lived perennial (3-4 years).  Really a nice accent plant.  

Nice bright yellow flowers in clumps.  May reseed. Great for a rock garden. Will flower with available moisture.

Diplacus aurantiacus  Common Name: Sticky Monkey Flower

Type: Small Shrub, 2'h x 2'w

Flowers: Spring and Fall (dependent on moisture)

Flower Color: Orange  

Likes: Part Sun

Native to California and Oregon.  Spring flowering perennial.  Great hummingbird plant.  Good placed among larger shrubs like Ceanothus Concha. Will flower longer if moisture present.  Common in Sierra foothills.  Sticky leaves.  Very adaptable, easy to grow.

Likes: Part Sun

Smaller shrub with very interesting flowers.  Plant single or in groups. Mix with other Diplacus for an interesting presentation.  Will flower dependent on moisture.  Nice smaller shrub with unique flower shape and color.  Can take some summer irrigation after established.

Cross between D aurnatiacus and D puniceus.  Red/orange flowers with orange throat.  Very similar growing habits to the parents.  Likes part sun.

Flower Color: Lavender

Likes: Full Sun 

Nice small spreading daisy. Very pretty lavender flowers. Appears to be a cross with Erigeron glaucus and ?. Unique color brings dimension to a native flower bed. Long flowering with regular pruning and adequate moisture.  Really nice border, ground cover or accent plant. Can tolerate garden water.

Perennial.  Small plant for Spring/early Summer color.  Member of the Daisy (Asteraceae) Family. Nice contrast to the blue/violet flowering Penstemons, and others,  during Spring.  Grayish foliage. Although they share a common name not related to Achillea millefolium.

Variable species.  Color may vary a little. "Siskiyou" selection.  Nice bedding plant. Shorter and more spreading with nice display of yellow flowers.
