Selected by Bert WIlson at Las Pilitas. Attracts hummingbirds. Very adaptable, easy to grow. A favorite and perfect plant for those starting to grow natives. Low growing, spreading sage with flower spikes. Nice fill-in between larger sages or shrubs or on its own. Flowers fall to early summer when moisture present. Summer water every few weeks during the first year to establish.

Becoming a favorite - easy maintenance and beautiful spring flowers. Low growing perennial sage. Native to inland coastal areas of California. Nice violet/blue flowers Spring through early summer. Can take some Summer irrigation. Sensitive to full sun of Central Valley Summers. An option to Bees Bliss which is very aggressive - this one is much slower growing and needs a lot less room. Grown in part shade or full sun. Spreading sage up to 8' wide. Needs room but easy to keep in a confined space.
